 Dedicated training effects our physical well-being with much more than self-defense training. The fitness that is built into martial arts training while learning the basic skills needed for self -defense is noticed immediately; you lose or maintain your weight, tone your muscles, gain flexibility, increase range of motion and improve your cardiovascular health. More importantly, you begin to take on a new attitude because you look and feel better. Will the way that you feel determine your attitude? Absolutely! With your new level of conditioning comes more energy and a change in attitude which soon affects your behavior. You treat yourself and others better. Your willingness to “go for it”is increased. You try new things and soon your spirit will be tested. During the process of learning forms, techniques and belt testing, you begin to work on your perseverance - that “stick to it attitude” soon becomes an “indomitable spirit. Suddenly, you never give up. You know you can achieve anything you set your mind to. How will this help your everyday life? How will this affect your confidence and self-esteem? What will be your next challenge? You become more aware of new ideas and opportunities. Your concentration is improved and you can focus under pressure. You now have a more positive attitude - utilizing and developing that driving force within. These are the goals of a true martial artist and it’s what Championship Martial Arts is all about.
